Your privacy matters. This policy explains what information the TDS on Rent Calculator (“we”, “the tool”) does and does not collect when you use this website.

No account, no personal data

You can use the calculator without signing up, logging in, or providing any personal information. We do not ask for your name, email, phone number, or PAN.

Your calculations stay on your device

All TDS calculations run entirely in your browser using client-side JavaScript. The rent amounts and other values you enter are never sent to us or stored on any server. When you close or refresh the page, that data is gone.

Local storage

We store a single, non-personal preference in your browser’s local storage — your light/dark theme choice — so the site remembers it on your next visit. This never leaves your device and can be cleared any time from your browser settings.

Analytics and cookies

The tool does not set advertising or tracking cookies. If privacy-friendly, aggregate analytics are added in future to understand overall usage, they will not identify individual users, and this policy will be updated to say so.

Third-party services

The site loads a web font from Google Fonts, which may involve a request to Google’s servers to deliver the font. No personal data is shared for this. The site may be hosted on a static hosting provider (e.g. Cloudflare Pages), which may keep standard, anonymised server logs.
